What fixes it fastest

Three answers to three precise situations, not a sales ranking.

What actually cools

A fan does not cool a room: it moves air, and moving air feels cooler on skin. A thermometer beside it does not move. That is already a lot, and it is not the same thing.

What genuinely lowers a temperature is evaporation — a water cooler, a damp towel, a soaked vest on a dog. The price is always the same: you need dry air for the water to evaporate, so a window ajar.

The journal

Air cooler or fan: what each one actually does

Both sit on the same shelf and do different jobs. One moves air, the other takes heat out of it — and the second has a condition of use people usually discover too late.

Cool your neck, not the room: why it works

Fifteen euros around your neck change how you feel more than three hundred euros in the middle of the living room. It is not a trick: it is blood flow, and it can be measured.

Portable mini fridge: what it keeps cold, and for how long

A cool box keeps the cold you put in it; a mini fridge makes cold. You cannot see the difference in a shop — you see it after four hours on the road.
